Members of the Month for September
1262017_20847_13.jpgThe first September FFA Member of the Month was Jacob Heitkamp; he is a senior this year. He is the son of Gary and Denise Heitkamp.  He has participated in CDE’s such as Wildlife and Dairy judging. He has also contributed his time to FFA meetings, been a top salesman for fruit sales, Farm Day, showing at the Darke County Fair, and exhibited shop and crop at the Darke County Fair along with numerous other activities. He is currently enrolled in the Mechanical Principles class.  His SAE contains of raising dairy steers and feeders and consist of showing his cows at the Darke County Fair where he has Grand Champion Dairy Feeder.  Jacob also works at Heitkamp Livestock Farm as part of his SAE.  Jacob received an FFA t-shirt and certificate for being named member of the month.1262017_20736_12.jpg

Our second September FFA Member of the Month was Abigail White; she’s also a senior this year. She is the daughter of Ron and Rachel White. She has participated in CDE’s such as Food Science and Technology and Ag Sales. She has also contributed her time to FFA meetings, serving on our assistant officer team, fruit sales, canned food drive, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, the greenhand conference, and numerous other activities. She is currently enrolled in the Environmental Science class. Her SAE has consisted of working in the past at the Inn of Versailles and community service.  Abigail received an  FFA t-shirt and certificate for being named member of the month.

Members of the Month for October
1262017_20321_8.jpgThe first Versailles FFA October member of the month was Ashley Petitjean. She is a junior this year. She is the daughter of John and Sarah Petitjean. Ashley has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, helping Mrs. Wuebker in her study halls, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social. Greenhand Conference, and other activities in our chapter. She has also attended State and National FFA Conventions. She exhibited shop and crop at the Darke County Fair and has participated in CDE’s such as Food Science. Her SAE consist of raising chickens and growing a garden. Ashley received a FFA Member T-shirt and certificate for being Named FFA Member of the Month.

George.  He is a sophomore this year and third year member of the

Versailles FFA.  Toby is the son of Greg and Holli George.  He has

contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, Firefighter,

and EMT Safety Training, Greenhand Conference, outdoor learning

lab, employee in greenhouse, fall harvest sale, and other activities in our

chapter.  He had also participate in CDE's such as Wildlife, Parliamentary

Procedure, and Creed Speaking.  His SAE consist of working for Wuebker

Farms where he helps run the hog operations.  Toby received a FFA Member T-shirt

and certificate for being named FFA Member of the Month.


1262017_20423_10.jpgThe third Versailles FFA October Member of the Month was Jamie Hart. She is a junior this year. Jamie is the daughter of Dan and Kari Hart. She has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, canned food drive, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, fall harvest sale, greenhand conference, outdoor learning lab, employee in the greenhouse, committee co-chair, nursing home visits, and many other activities within our chapter. She has participated in CDE’s such as aquarium management and attended National FFA Convention.  Her SAE consist of growing a garden, entering her produce in the shop and crop at the Darke County Fair.  Jamie received a FFA Member T-shirt and certificate for being named FFA Member of the Month. Congratulations!

1262017_15350_1.jpgThe first Versailles FFA November member of the month is Shelby Winner. She is a senior this year. She is the daughter of Eric and Jill Winner. She has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, helping Mrs. Wuebker in her study halls,  Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. She has also attended State and National Convention. She has participated in CDE’s such as Ag Sales, Parli Pro, and Wildlife. The second Versailles FFA November member of the month is Brigette Holsapple. She is another senior this year. She is the daughter of Sam and Michelle Holsapple. She has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, color run, soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. She has also participated in CDE’s such as Food Science and Technology. Her SAE consist of growing a garden and entering her produce in shop and crop at the Darke County Fair. Each member of the month received a certificate and t-shirt.


The third Versailles FFA November Member of the Month is Gavin Lawrence. He is a junior this year. He is the son of Steve and Darlene Lawrence. He has contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, canned food drive, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, fall harvest sale, greenhand conference, outdoor learning lab, nursing home visits, helping Mrs. Wuebker in his study halls, and many other activities within our chapter. He has participated in CDE’s such as wildlife.  His SAE consist of  a garden, job placement and raising poultry that was shown at the Darke County Fair.  Each member of the month received a certificate and t-shirt.

Members of the Month for December 
1262017_20120_7.jpgAt the Versailles FFA December FFA Meeting at McBo’s on December 19th,  Versailles FFA recognized three senior members as members of the month.  Senior Lane Feltz has contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. He has participated in CDE’s such as Wildlife. He is currently enrolled in the environmental and natural resources class and is a member of the greenhouse committee. His SAE consist of working for Alex Dirksen milking cows.  Lane is the son of Bruce and Jennifer Feltz of Versailles.  Lane received a t-shirt and certificate for being named member of the month.  Congratulations to our first December member of the month Lane Feltz.

The second Versailles FFA December member of the month was senior Lindsay Schultz. Lindsay has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, color run, soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. She has also participated in CDE’s such as Food Science and Technology and Dairy Foods. She is currently enrolled in the Ag Business class and is a committee co-chair of the Economic committee. Lindsay SAE consist of working at the Sweet Shop, raising rabbits, and growing  a garden.   Lindsay is the daughter of Eric and Beth Schultz of Versailles.  Lindsay received a t-shirt and certificate for being named member of the month.  Congratulations to December member of the month Lindsay Schultz.

The third Versailles FFA December Member of the Month was senior Jonathan Moorman.  Jonathan has contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, canned food drive, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, outdoor learning lab, nursing home visits, and many other activities within our chapter. Jonathan has participated in CDE’s such as wildlife.  He is currently enrolled in the Ag Business class and serves on the cooperation committee. His SAE consist of working at Schmitmeyer Dairy Farm.  Jonathan is the son of Ken and Jill Moorman of Versailles.  Jonathan received a t-shirt and certificate for being named member of the month. Congratulations to member of the month, Jonathan Moorman.

Members of the Month for January
1262017_15128_0.jpgAt the January 9th FFA Meeting, Versailles FFA recognized three members .  Senior Emily Clack was named one of the members of the month. Emily has contributed her time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. Emily has participated in CDE’s such as food science and technology. She is currently enrolled in the ag business class and is a member of the cooperation committee.  Emily is employed at Best Bite Grill.  Emily is the daughter of Mark and Susan Clack.  Emily received a t-shirt and certificate for being named January FFA Member of the Month.  Congratulations January FFA member of the month Emily Clack. 

Junior Issac Gehret was named Versailles FFA January member of the month.  Issac has contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, Farm Day, color run, soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, and other activities in our chapter. He has participated in CDE’s such as Food Science and Technology, Job Interview, Parliamentary  Procedure and General Livestock. Isaac exhibit livestock and shop and crop at the fair.  Isaac is also the 2016-17 Darke County Fair King, He is currently enrolled in the Food Science Class and is a member of the Support Group committee. His SAE consist of raising beef cattle a showing at The Darke County Fair.  Issac is the son of Gary and Jill Gehret.  Issac received a t-shirt and certificate for being named January FFA Member of the Month.  Congratulations January FFA member of the month Isaac Gehret.  

Jacob Wuebker was also named Versailles FFA January Member of the Month.  Jacob is a sophomore member and has contributed his time to FFA meetings, fruit sales, canned food drive, toys for tots, Farm Day, the soup and sandwich social, greenhand conference, outdoor learning lab, nursing home visits, and many other activities within our chapter. He has participated in CDE’s such as soil judging, agronomy, general livestock, and dairy judging.  He is currently enrolled in the Ag Business class and serves as a co-chair of the cooperation committee. His SAE consist of working at Wuebker Farms.  Jacob is the son of Jeff and Dena Wuebker.  Jacob received a FFA t-shirt and certificate for being named  January FFA Member of the Month. Congratulations to January member of the month, Jacob Wuebker.
